COON RAPIDS, Minn - North Central University baseball fell to UMAC foe Northwestern St. Paul on Saturday 5-2 and 6-5.

  • Bryce Riege took the loss (0-6) as he went the complete game allowing five earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and three walks.

GAME TWO RECAP

  • NCU took a 5-0 lead in game two after scoring five runs in the bottom of the second inning.
  • Scattered showers entered the area leading to a one hour delay in the bottom of the fourth inning
  • UNW continued to chip away at the Rams lead, eventually tying the game in the top of the seventh inning.
  • In the top of the ninth UNW added a run off Justin Torres (1-5).
  • Cory Kukkola went 4-for-5 at the plate with one RBI
  • Taylor Justice went 2-for-5 at the plate.
