MINNEAPOLIS, Minn - Senior day festivities took place on Saturday in Clark Danielson Gymnasium for the Rams as Joel Cline led the way in a hard fought Rams defeat. The former Southwest high school standout paced the Rams offensively in a game in which four Rams would reach double figures. NCU would fall to Minnesota-Morris by a score of 96-87.
Cline would end the game with 23 points as he went 9-for-12 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. Senior, C.J. Lewis would add 15 points with five assists to join Cline in the senior day festivities. Sophomore Lucas Ellerbusch added 15 points as Riley Loukinen add 12 points after going 4-for-9 from three-point range.
For the afternoon, NCU would shoot 43.5 percent from the field (30-for-69). With the win Minnesota-Morris clinched a bid into the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference tournament. Minnesota-Morris shot 51.5 percent from the field (34-for-66), led by potential Upper Midwest Athletic Player of the Year, C.D. Douglas who added 34 points after shooting 11-for-20 from the field and a near perfect 11-for-12 from the free-throw line.
