BECKER, Minn - The North Central University men's golf team completed their second contest of the fall season on Thursday at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) preview meet in Becker, Minnesota. The Rams finished in eighth place overall as they shot a combined 362 for the event. The College of St.Scholastica took home first place as they led the pack with a combined 303 for the event.
The Rams were led by Noah Gross as he shot an 86 for the round which put him in a tie for 30th place overall. Justin Johnson added an 87 overall for 34th place in the event. D.J. O'brien followed last week's strong showing with an 89 for 36th place. Ben Majerle and Donovan Morris rounded out the scorers for NCU as they shot 100 and 102 respectively.
NCU edged Minnesota-Morris by 57 strokes while they trailed Crown College by 16 strokes.
The Rams will now enjoy a week of preparation as they will be back in action next Thursday, September 13th for the first day of the NCCAA regional tournament. The men are scheduled to tee-off on day one at 12:45 p.m. at Trappers Turn Golf Club in Dells, Wisconsin.
