ST. PAUL, Minn - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced the second round of UMAC Player of the Week Awards for fall sports on Monday afternoon. The UMAC awards are nominated by UMAC coaches and Sports Information Directors and then voted on by UMAC SID's on a weekly basis. North Central University Men's Soccer was represented on the list as senior, Danny Williams, took home his first UMAC honor of the season as Offensive Player of the Week for Men's Soccer.
Williams, a business major, led the way for the Rams on the second weekend of play as he scored both of the game in a big 2-1 win over Rockford University at Elliot Park Field on Saturday afternoon. Williams started his impressive week with an assist on the lone goal in the Ram's first win of the week over Maranatha Baptist on Thursday evening. Williams helped to lead the Rams to a 2-0 performance on the week, which improves their overall record to 3-1.
Williams will look to continue his impressive start to the season (4 goals, 1 assist) as the Rams take on UMAC conference opponent, the Vikings of Bethany Lutheran College, on Wednesday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. (CDT) on Elliot Park Field. The Rams will also host another UMAC foe on Saturday as they will square off against the University of Minnesota-Morris at 4:30 p.m. (CDT).
