Trickey Garners First All-UMAC Award in Program History
ST. PAUL, Minn.-- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference released its 2013 softball post season awards list on Monday. North Central completed its first season of action in the UMAC this year and also received its first All-UMAC award selection in program history as Elisabeth Trickey was named to the squad as voted on by conference member coaches.
Senior Elisabeth Trickey (Waseca, Minn.) was named on the UMAC first team all-conference squad following her outstanding final season in the navy and vegas. Trickey led the conference in overall batting average (.524) and on-base percentage (.596) while standing sixth in the league in fielding percentage (.985) in a year where she commited just one error with 61 putouts at centerfield.
Trickey ends her North Central career at the top of the career batting average, stolen base, hits and fielding percentage lists.
Senior Bethany Bostron (Spicer, Minn./Bostron Academy) was also a part of the UMAC post-season awards list being named on the conference sportsmanship team.
