ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced the post-season All-Conference accolades on Monday afternoon and Junior, Amanda Roth (Appleton, Wis./Neenah) received UMAC First-Team All-Conference for the 2017 season.
As voted on by coaches within the conference, Roth has now been named to the UMAC First-Team All-Conference for the second time in her career (2015, Freshman Year). Roth has proved to be one of the most dominant hitters in the conference in both years she was voted UMAC First-Team.
Roth has served the Rams in multiple positions in the 2017 in the utility position splitting time at pitcher and shortstop. However, Roth has shown her strength from the plate this year leading the UMAC in hitting percentage (.494) and second in both slugging (.753) and on-base percentage (.494). In her 89 at bats, Roth had 44 hits, 12 doubles, and finished the season tied at third place with three home runs en route to scoring 25 runs for North Central, eighth best in the conference in 2017.
Additionally, the UMAC Sportsmanship Award given to one representative from each school in the conference for good sportsmanship which was awarded to Danelle Pageler (Warren, Minn./Warren-Alvarado-Oslo) for the second time in her career (2015).
