DULUTH, Minn. - North Central Women's Soccer (5-11, 2-9 UMAC) fell to The College of St. Scholastica Saints (10-6-3, 9-1-1 UMAC), 9-0, in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) matchup on Wednesday afternoon on the road. The Saints were dominant from the opening whistle outshooting the Rams, 32-7, and on corner kicks, 11-3.
The Saints got on the board in the 9th minute on a cross coming in from out wide and never gave up the lead for the duration of the game. Following the Saints first goal the Rams were able to generate a couple shots but Scholastica responded in the 30th minute to double the lead. Scholastica led 4-0 at halftime. In the second half, Rams goalkeeper Ellie Tieszen (Stillwater, Minn./White Bear Lake) collided with a Saints player in effort to make a save and lef the game for concussion protocol. Jamie Meyers (Farmington, Minn./St. Paul Conservatory of Performing Arts) finished out the game for the Rams in net.
