MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central University Women's Basketball ran out to a 23-0 lead to start the game and it would rarely be closer than that margin in a dominant 54-33 victory over Faith Baptist Bible College on Saturday afternoon in Ankeny, Iowa. The Rams lead would be as many as 37 in the first half in a game where NCU held the Eagles to just six percent first half shooting and only 22 percent (13-57) for the contest.

North Central opened the game with a decisive run that put the contest out of reach from the start and gave the Rams their seventh win of the season. NCU was able to earn the victory while playing no member of the starting line up more than 23 minutes. All 12 players who dressed for the game played a minimum of 9 minutes with 5 reserve players earning 12 or more minutes of action. Eight of twelve players scored in the game for NCU.

The Rams held a 39-6 lead at the halftime break and despite being outscored 27-13 in the second half allowed just 13 made baskets in the game.

Freshman guard Courtney Smith (Barron, Wis.) led NCU with 14 points and just one turnover. Junior guard Elisabeth Trickey (Waseca, Minn.) added 13 points and 5 steals to move within just 5 swipes of the North Central University Women's Basketball Career record in that category with a full season of eligibility remaining.

The Rams return to action this week with their final two-game home stand of the season. Tonight the Rams host Presentation College(Aberdeen, S.D.) in a 5:30 p.m. contest.

Saturday the Rams will host the rematch with Faith Baptist Bible College in game that tips off at 2 p.m.
