Box Score MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central University Men's Soccer got a goal in the 57th minute that would eventually stand as the game winner in a 1-0 victory over Crown College on Saturday afternoon in Coon Rapids. The Rams win wraps up the year for NCU who won five of their final eight matches.
Junior forward Stephen Johnson (Minneapolis, Minn./South) notched his fourth score of the season on an assist from freshman forward Nick Wiese (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) in the 57th minute to give NCU the only score in the match.
Junior goalkeeper Nathan Kraines (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) made 13 saves on the day and combined with the NCU defense to earn their eighth clean sheet of the season.
North Central completes the 2012 campaign with a 8-12-1 overall record and a 5-9 mark in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. The eight wins for NCU are the most single season victories in nearly 10 years.
All eight of the Rams victories this season were via a shutout performance on defense.
