MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central University Women's Basketball will look to get back in the win column with a match-up versus Faith Baptist Bible College tonight in Ankeny, Iowa. Saturday NCU will wrap up their December schedule with a home game against Mayville State University. The Rams have dropped their last two contests and will look for some momentum before the Christmas break. 

Last Saturday North Central (2-5, 0-0) pulled away from Faith Baptist early on and earned a 78-28 victory over the Eagles. The Rams had nine of the ten players who played, scored in the victory and held Faith to under 22 percent shooting on the night. NCU recorded 26 steals and helped to force 40 opponent turnovers.

Junior Jorie Grenell (Lakeville, Minn./Spring Lake Park) led NCU with 17 points. Senior Elisabeth Trickey (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) had 13 points and 6 steals. Junior Emily Aleckson (Braham, Minn./Cambridge Christian) added 10 points.

Saturday NCU will have a big test when they return to the CLC Gymnasium hardwood for the final time in 2012. Mayville State University (Mayville, N.D.) of the NAIA comes to the Twin Cities for a pair of games versus NCAA Division III opponents. Friday they will take on Crown College (St. Bonifacius, Minn.) before facing NCU on Saturday. The Comets are 9-1 on the year.
