ST. PAUL, Minn.-- The Rams volleyball team was back in action on Tuesday evening at Macalester College. The Scots swept the Rams 3-0 in the next to last non-conference match on the North Central schedule for 2012.

North Central (1-13, 0-2) fell behind early in each set and was not able to recover, losing 25-9 in each game.

Freshman Karlee Cox (Des Moines, Iowa/Saydel) led NCU with four kills while senior Anna Bird (Bloomington, Minn./Home School) and freshman Jamie High (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo) each recorded three kills.

Anna Bird and freshman Sarah Trickey (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) each had a match high eight digs.

The Rams will be back in action again on Friday and Saturday as NCU hosts their first two home conference matches of the season.

Friday, North Central hosts Bethany Lutheran College (Mankato, Minn.) at 7 p.m. Saturday the Rams will host Martin Luther College (New Ulm, Minn.) at 1 p.m.

Later in the day on Saturday NCU will travel across town to play a third weekend conference match verses Northwestern College (St. Paul, Minn.) in St. Paul at 6 p.m.
