Minneapolis, Minn - North Central women's soccer faced off against The College of St. Scholastica on Saturday afternoon. The Saints showed why they are the top team in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference by defeating the Rams by a score of 9-0.
North Central (2-13-0, 0-10-0) found themselves down by a goal less than 30 seconds into the match as the Saints took the opening kick-off down the field and scored.
The College of St. Scholastica (11-2-1, 10-0-0) earned its tenth conference win in ten games played. The Saints were led by Kelsey Kehtel who netted four goals in the game.
Even with the loss, Rams keeper Shelby Norman (Winstead, Minn/ Watertown-Mayer) recorded 18 saves, which is a season and career high. The Saints outshot the Rams by a lopsided 53-0 mark.
North Central will return to action Friday, October 25th as they travel to New Ulm to play Martin Luther College. On the weekend roadtrip, the Rams will also face-off against Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday. Kick-off is 1:00pm on Friday and 12:00pm on Saturday.
