Box Score Minneapolis, Minn.-- The North Central University volleyball team played their final game of the 2013 season Saturday morning at Crown University.
The Rams (5-28, 1-13) lost to the Storm (5-26, 4-10) in straight sets, 3-0 (20-25, 18-25, 22-25). North Central was led by outside hitter Sarah Trickey (Waseca, Minn. /Waseca) who posted a team-high 12 kills in the match. Trickey also had 8 errors in the contest on 29 total attacks for a kill percentage of .138.
Freshman Elissa Pheneger (Roseville, Minn./ Concordia Academy) aided the Rams with 25 assists in the match. Pheneger averaged 5.61 assists per set in 2013.
North Central had 30 kills as a team in the loss to the Storm (St. Bonifacius, Minn.) with 20 errors on 96 total attacks for a kill percentage of .104.
The Rams finished the season with five wins after only winning two games in 2012 and finished in a tie for seventh in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.
North Central will be returning all of their starters for next season as the team looks to improve on their 2013 campaign.
