Minneapolis, MN-- North Central hosted Macalester College (St. Paul, MN) Tuesday night and lost 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-13).

After an exciting weekend for the Rams, featuring the first two wins of the season, North Central was defeated by Macalester in straight sets. Macalester entered the match with a 5-5 record and won matches against future NCU opponents: Martin Luther College, Crown College, and Northland College already this season.

The Scots recorded 41 kills in the match to North Central's 12 as they over powered the Rams all night. After Macalester won a convincing game one, the Rams rallied back in game two as they trailed 21-20 late in the set only to lose 25-20. The Rams were led by sophomore Jamie High (Buffalo, MN/ Buffalo) and sophomore Sarah Trickey (Waseca, MN/ Waseca) as they both recorded a team-high five kills.

The Rams will travel to Milwaukee, WI this weekend to play in the Alverno Tournament. Matches begin Friday as North Central faces Alverno at 2pm. NCU returns to home action on September 20th as they play host to Northland College.
