St. Scholastica Breezes Past Rams

DULUTH, Minn.-- Women's Soccer traveled north for a weekend double header in the northland and started their trip with one-sided loss to The College of St. Scholastica. The Saints defeated NCU 11-0 and sent the Rams to their third straight Upper Midwest Athletic Conference loss to the start of the season.

North Central held the match at a scorless draw until the 13th minute when the Saints began a surge to earn a 5-0 halftime lead on a 16-0 shot advantage. The second half saw six more goals and a final 41-0 shot differnce both in favor of CSS.

Freshman goalkeeper Rachael Chant (Shakopee, Minn./Bethany Academy) made 15 saves in the loss.

North Central returns to action on Saturday afternoon with their fourth conference match of the year versus Northland College (Ashland, Wis.). NCU takes on the Lumberjills at 2:15 p.m.
