Box Score ST. PAUL, Minn.-- Men's Soccer traveled to St. Paul for a midweek tilt with Hamline University on Wednesday looking to start their first win streak of the season. After a comeback win on Saturday the Rams suffered a 3-1 defeat to the Pipers on Wednesday night
North Central (1-2-0, 0-0-0) fell behind in the first six minutes for the second time in as many games when Hamline University (St. Paul, Minn.) scored off a cross in the sixth minute and it looked as if the Pipers would run the Rams off the pitch. But, despite being out-shot 11-1 in the first 45 minutes the Rams would not conceed again in the first half.
Hamline would add a second goal in the 52nd minute and it would eventually hold up as the game winner. A third goal for the Pipers came in the 83rd minute before senior Stephen Johnson (Minneapolis, Minn./South) would get on the score sheet with his second goal in the first three games of the season.
North Central will be off until September 20 when they open their Upper Midwest Athletic Conference schedule with a home game against Bethany Lutheran College (Mankato, Minn.) The Rams and Vikings are set for a 2 p.m. kickoff at Coon Rapids Soccer Complex.
