Inferno Burn Rams

MILWAUKEE, Wis.-- Women's Soccer began a two game road trip in the Milwaukee area by taking on Alverno College on Friday afternoon. The Inferno defeated NCU 3-1 to keep the Rams looking for their first victory of the season heading into Saturday's match up with Mt. Mary College.

North Central (0-2, 0-0) fell behind in the 26th minute when Alverno College (Milwaukee, Wis.) opened the scoring off a corner kick. But the Rams were able to equalize in the 43rd minute when senior Marissa Dean (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) scored her first goal of the year, unassisted, off a free kick.

However, the Inferno answered quickly by scoring around one minute later to hold a 2-1 lead at the interval. The teams would go scoreless for most of the second half before a Alverno added a third tally in the 85th minute.

Freshman Rachael Chant (Shakopee, Minn./Bethany Academy) made 10 saves in net for the Rams.

NCU will be back in action on their Milwaukee trip on Saturday morning when they take on Mt. Mary College at 11 a.m.
