Box Score Minneapolis, Minn.-- The North Central University Women's Basketball team traveled to New Ulm, Minn. Saturday evening to take on the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference leaders, Martin Luther College.
The Lady Rams (4-7, 0-3) lost to the Knights (6-7, 3-0) 90-64.
North Central played tough in the second half but their 26 point halftime deficit ended up being the winning margin for Martin Luther, who is undefeated in conference play.
The Rams were led offensively by sophomore Jamie High (Buffalo, Minn./ Buffalo) as she scored a career-high 28 points while recording eight rebounds. High was 11-20 shooting in the game while going 6-9 from the free throw line.
Sophomore Shelby Norman (Winsted, Minn./ Watertown-Mayer) had a solid performance as she posted 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal in the contest. Norman was 3-5 from behind the three point line while going a perfect 7-7 on free throws. Senior Jorie Grenell (Lakeville, Minn./ Spring Lake Park) had six points and a team-high six assists in the game.
North Central shot 22-63 from the field (34.9%) and lost the rebounding battle 54-35.
The Lady Rams return to action this Friday as they welcome Crown College (St. Bonafacious, Minn.) to Clark-Danielson gymnasium for a 5:45p.m. tip.
