MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- North Central controlled the tempo and forced a steady stream of turnovers to earn a 59-33 victory over Faith Baptist Bible College at home on Tuesday evening. The Rams were carried by the performances of Jorie Grenell and Jamie High but also had eight of nine players who recorded minutes scored in a complete team victory.

The Rams had to grind out the early stages of the first half before establishing an 18-8 lead at the 11:26 point of the first half. The lead would be less than ten points for less than two mintues the rest of the game as NCU forced multiple turnovers while limiting their own give aways in a very methodical first half that saw North Central lead 34-14 at the break.

The second half saw the Rams get up by as 28 in the early stages of the first half. The Eagles had several chances to cut the lead to under 20 but North Central never allowed the game to get close that that differential en route to the win.

Senior Jorie Grenell moved to fourth on the Rams all-time scoring list with a game high 16 points. She is currently at 1296 points and will likely become just the third woman in NCU history to surpass 1300 career points.

Sophomore Jamie High nearly notched a triple-double with 14 points, 10 steals, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and played 32 minutes without being whistled for a foul. Senior Julia Skeesick (Victoria, Minn./Chaska) recorded nine points and seven assists for the Rams.

North Central will be back in action this weekend with an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference northern road trip. Friday the Rams will travel to Northland College (Ashland, Wis.) for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off with the LumberJills. Saturday NCU takes on The College of St. Scholastica (Duluth, Minn.) in Duluth at 7 p.m.
