ASHLAND, Wis.-- Women's Soccer was in the match for the full 90 minutes but could not get the goal they needed. Northland College got their lone tally early in the second half and the Rams never found an answer in a 1-0 road loss to the Lumberjills on Friday.
North Central and Northland College (Ashland, Wis.) played a scoreless first 45 minutes but the Jills did not need much time in the second half. Just four minutes into the second half Northland scored goal that would stand up as the game winner at the conclusion of the full 90 minutes.
Freshman goalkeeper Taylor Patch (Bismarck, N.D./Century) stopped six of the seven shots she faced on the day.
North Central will be back in action Saturday. The Rams take on The College of St. Scholastica (Duluth, Minn.) in a road kickoff at 2:15 p.m.
