Women's Soccer Loses to Providence in NCCAA Region Final

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- Women's Soccer was defeated by Providence University-College in the National Christian College Athletic Association Region Final on Wednesday afternoon. The Pilots controlled the tempo and earned a second straight region title and its berth in the NCCAA National Championship with their victory at Coon Rapids Soccer Complex.

Three goals in the first 17 minutes gave Providence UC (Otterburne, Manitoba) all the momentum they would need to close out the game. The Rams were able to gain some possession in the second half but never consistently threatened the Pilots goal. Providence outshot the Rams 19-3 on the day.

North Central will wrap up their regular season with a pair of home UMAC conference games over the weekend. Friday, the Rams will host Crown College (St. Bonifacius, Minn.) at 3:15 p.m. Saturday has NCU matched up with Bethany Lutheran College (Mankato, Minn.) at 2:15 p.m.
