Rams Go a Man Down, Fall to Eagles

Box Score

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The North Central Men's Soccer team faced off against its cross-town rivals Thursday, the Eagles of the University of Northwestern-St. Paul, losing by a score of 0-3.

The Rams were dealt a huge blow when just 15 minutes into the game, a red card forced the team to play with just 10 men for the rest of the game.

This lead to the Rams finishing the first down up by a score of 0-2, and trailing in shots by a 2-11 count.

The story did not change much in the second half for the Rams. Still down a man, North Central hunkered down on defense, but the Eagles were able to get another goal by in the 52nd minute, making the score 3-0 in favor of the visitors.

That is where the score would stay for the rest of the game, giving the Eagles their third conference victory and making the Rams have to wait until Saturday for another chance at their first.

The same two teams will play again Saturday night, this time in St. Paul. The match will kick off at 5:00 PM.
