Minneapolis, Minn.-- The North Central University Baseball Team played their final three games of the season this weekend against Bethany Lutheran College.

The Rams (1-27, 1-20) were swept by the Vikings (Mankato, Minn.) as they were outscored 49-3 over the three game set.

In game one, freshman Matt Treadwell (Dickinson, Texas/ Bay Area) started on the mound and allowed 11 runs (8 earned) on 14 hits and two walks while striking out three. Treadwell also added a single in the game at the plate as he batted 1-for-3 in the loss. Sophomore Cody Van Sickle (Machesney Park, Ill./ Harlem Sr) went 1-for-3 in the game while recording his second double of the season. The final score was 12-0.

In game two, the Rams lost 16-2 as North Central committed three errors in the ball game. Junior David Babcock (Fresno, Calif./ Buchanan) went 3-for-3 in the game with his third double of the season. Babcock led off the sixth inning with a single and he later crossed the plate with Van Sickle on a fielding error by the third baseman on an at-bat by Matt Treadwell.

Game three was highlighted by the first home run of the Rams season. Sophomore Will Rosevear (Canton, Mich./ Homeschool) hit a towering blast over the left field wall to score the lone Rams run in the fourth inning. North Central committed five errors in the contest leading to six unearned runs by the Vikings (8-19, 7-8). Bethany Lutheran won the game 21-1.

The Rams finished the season with a record of 1-27 while going 1-20 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Van Sickle led the team in hitting with a .310 batting average while Babcock ranked second with a .297 BA. Rosevear led the team with one home run and nine runs batted in, while Treadwell led NCU with a 5.71 earned run average and a win.
