Box Score WINONA, Minn. -- After their original match was rained out on Friday, the North Central Men's Soccer team was anxious to get their season started Thursday evening in Winona, against St. Mary's University.
The Cardinal struck early, scoring just one minute into the game. The Rams were unable to respond and gave up two more first half goals and went into the half trailing by a score of 3-0.
After the break, the Cardinal added one more goal in the 48th minute. The Rams defense held for the rest of the game, but were unable to get anything going offensively, allowing the Cardinal to cruise to a 4-0 victory.
The Rams look forward to their home opener, this Saturday against Providence University College. The Men will kick off at 2:15 P.M. following the Women's match at noon.
