Rams Start Season With Loss

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The Rams began their 2014 campaign today with a hard-fought, 2-0 loss to regional rival, Providence University College.

North Central came out strong to start, but neither team was able to generate any real chances to score, and the two sides went into the half time break scoreless.

The Pilots finally broke down the Rams' defence in the 73rd minute, and then added an insurance goal four minutes later, to take a 2-0 lead. For the remainder of the game the Rams would put pressure on the Pilot's defense but were unable to break through, and the game finished with the final score of 2-0.

Although the season starts with a loss for the Rams, there is reason for optimism as the team looks forward to its next game against Mt. Mary University, next Saturday. Kick off is set for 2 P.M. in Coon Rapids.
