Box Score ASHLAND, Wis.-- The streak is alive and well after another conference road victory on Saturday. Men's Soccer took a 1-0 decision at Northland College and pushed their unbeaten stretch to eight games.
North Central (6-7-2, 4-4-1 UMAC) got a goal in the 65th minute from captain Tyler Maag (Lakeville, Minn./) on an assist from Jake Loukinen (Little Falls, Minn./Little Falls) and that would be the only scoring necessary as the Rams defense did the rest. In an evenly played match the Rams found their third win of the week and kept themselves in the final UMAC post-season playoff spot.
- Tyler Maag now was two goals on the season
- Jake Loukinen now as 3 assists on the year
- The victory gives the Rams their best win total since 2012 (8) with at least four games left in 2015
- A UMAC playoff appearance this season would be the first in men's soccer history and only the second NCU team sport to make the UMAC post-season
To their unbeaten October run alive the Rams face a big test on Tuesday when they host Bethel University (Arden Hills, Minn.) at 3 p.m.
