Bethel Ends Rams Unbeaten October

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- Men's Soccer was defeated 5-0 by Bethel University at home on Tuesday afternoon. The loss put a stopper on the Rams seven game unbeaten streak, the longest such stretch in over five years for the team.

After an even first twenty minutes North Central the game was still at a scoreless draw before the Royals broke through with three first half goals. Bethel tallied goals in the 26th and 34th minute on great combination play from their front line. The third goal game in the 38th minute and seemed to finalize any question in the final outcome.

Another Bethel goal in the 62nd minute brought goal keeper changes for both teams as both teams settled in for the final half hour. The final score came for the Royals in the 89th minute to round out the final tally.

North Central will need to bounce back by Saturday when they play a crucial home match against the University of Minnesota-Morris (Morris, Minn.). NCU hosts the Cougars at 3:15 p.m. for the Rams parents day match. The Rams are currently in the third spot in the UMAC and Saturday's league tilt provides NCU a chance to clinch a conference post season tournament spot with a victory.
