ASHLAND, Wis.-- North Central Baseball dropped all three games in their weekend series at Northland College. Friday the Rams dropped game one 10-0 before going down 5-0 and 16-0 in the front and back end of Saturday's double-header.

On Friday the Rams were no hit and managed just one base runner in the seven inning loss to the Lumberjacks. Junior Cody Van Sickle (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem) walked and stole second in the Rams final at bat in the seventh.

In game one on Saturday the Rams stayed within reach of Northland but struggled to get their offense going in the loss. Sophomore Matthew Juve (Blaine, Minn./Spring Lake Park) was the only Ram to hit safely, going 2-3 with a pair of singles. Junior David Babcock (Fresno, Calif./Buchanan) took pitching the loss, scattering 3 earned runs over 12 hits with 4 strikeouts.

Things did not improve much for NCU in the back half of the double-header as they managed just one hit with three errors in the field. Matthew Juve was 1-2 at the plate while fresman Michael Cardinelli (Saginaw, Mich./Arthur Hill) and sophomore Sidney Grimmett (Beebe, Ark./Beebe) each reached base with a walk.

North Central is back in action today with a 3 p.m. double-header at Macalester College (St. Paul, Minn.).
