LAKEVILLE, Minn.-- Women's Tennis is still looking for their first team victory of the season after Thursday night's loss to Martin Luther College. North Central was competitive several matches but fell 6-3 to the Knights at Lakeville Lifetime Fitness Tennis Center.
Freshmen Amber Wolff (West Fargo, N.D./West Fargo) and Allegra Edwards (Roseville, Minn./Minnesota Virtual Academy) were able to earn North Central their first victory in top doubles this season, winning 8-6 in the number one spot. Martin Luther took the second and third doubles matches by 8-4 and 8-5 respective score lines.
The Rams were able to grab a pair of points in the third and sixth singles matches. Freshman Kristen Furry (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) earned her first college victory in the third spot with a 3-6, 7-6 (10-6) win. Junior Sarah Trickey (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) took the final singles match with a 6-2, 7-6 (10-6) tie break win.
North Central will be back in action on Monday when they travel to The University of Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.). The first serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
