NEW ULM, Minn.-- North Central dropped a road conference game on Saturday at the hands of Martin Luther College. After a scoreless first 45 minute, the Rams surrendered a barage of goals and could not respond with any offense of their own in the defeat.

The Rams outshot the Knights 8-6 in the first half but could not produce any scoring and chances would prove hard to come by in the final 45 minutes. The Knights fired 15 shots to the Rams 4 and the hosts began their refreshed attack on net promptly in the second half.

Aaron Markgraf scored less than 30 seconds into the second half to open the Knight's account. Elijah Kroll tallied in the 62nd minute and less than 8 minutes later Aaron Swanson erased all doubts with one on one move in space that made it 3-0. Colin Bahmer scored the game's final goal in the 82nd minute to wrap up the afternoon.

Sophomore Ian Brekhus (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake) fired three shots for the Rams with two on frame while sophomore Jake Loukinen (Little Falls, Minn./Little Falls) had 4 shots with one on net. Junior Andrew Eliason (Milan, Mich./Milan) recorded 8 saves in just over 74 minutes of service in net for the Rams.

North Central will return to action next week with a Wednesday conference road game. The Rams will take on Crown College (St. Bonifacius, Minn.) in St. Boni at 2 p.m.
