Minneapolis-- The North Central University Volleyball Team continued conference play on Tuesday night as they traveled to Duluth to take on The College of Saint Scholastica.

The Rams (5-10, 0-2 UMAC) were overpowered throughout the match on their way to a 3-0 (4-25, 15-25, 16-25) defeat. The Saints (11-7, 1-1 UMAC) posted a hitting percentage of .442 throughout the three sets as they recorded 44 kills to only 2 errors.

North Central was led in kills by junior Karlee Huber (Rapid City, S.D./Dakota Wesleyan Univ.) who had 11 in the loss. Huber's powerful swings resulted in a hitting percentage of .308 (3 errors, 26 total attacks). Junior Katie Strand (Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon-Wanamingo) was second on the team with 5 kills.

Junior Anna Larson (Lakeville, Minn./Christian Life (Robert Morris Univ.)) competed in her second match of the season on Tuesday night and led the Rams with 14 digs in the match.

NCU struggled in the opening set as they only recorded one kill, but the Rams were able to find their offensive attack in the next two sets as they finished 21 kills with 11 errors on 67 total attempts (.149 hitting percentage).

The Rams continue play this Friday as they host the The University of Northwestern (Saint Paul, Minn.) at 4 p.m. followed by a dual with the Lions of Finlandia University (Hancock, Mich.) at 8 p.m.
