Rams Lose Homecoming Game to Jills

MINNEAPOLIS – This past Saturday in Elliot Park, North Central women's soccer lost a tough game to Northland College 5-0 in the 2016 Homecoming game and Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) matchup. In the second meeting between the Rams and the Lumberjills the Rams finished with an overall better result and play than the first meeting despite losing both games.

In the first half the Rams applied heavy defensive pressure with hopes to slow down the Jills' fast attack. Besides the 12-minute gap when the Jills scored the Rams defensive held to the task only allowing 7 shots from the Jills all half. In the second half the Rams were able to get more offensive opportunities from the midfield but still couldn't find the back of the net. Northland would capitalize twice more on Rams mistakes to finish the game 5-0 in favor of the Jills.

North Central will be at home again on Tuesday afternoon against National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) rival Providence University College. The game time is set for 1:00 p.m. Live stats and video can be found here. Then on Saturday the Rams will travel to The University of Minnesota-Morris in Morris, Minnesota to face the Cougars in an UMAC game.
