LAKEVILLE, Minn.-- Women's Tennis was swept by Martin Luther College in a home Upper Midwest Athletic Conference match on Thursday. The Rams were defeated 9-0 by the Knights at Lifetime Fitness Courts.
North Central (0-8, 0-4 UMAC) is still looking for their first match victory of the year after their loss on Thursday. Sophomore Jaila Cappelli (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) was the Rams most competitive player falling 6-2, 6-3 in number two singles. She also played in the top doubles match with freshman Esther Leung (Hong Kong, China/San Diego Christian College), falling 8-3 in that contest.
North Central will be back in action tomorrow with another home conference match. NCU will host the University of Minnesota-Morris (Morris, Minn.) for a 2 p.m. match at Lakeville Lifetime Fitness.
