WATERTOWN, Wis. – Women's soccer began regular season play on Thursday with 0-3 loss in a NCCAA regional matchup at Maranatha Baptist University. North Central played hard and intense for 90 minutes despite traveling with 12 players. Faced with a series of injuries and player absences the Rams struggled to create any offense pressure versus the Sabercats defense. However, the Rams defense held strong and limited the Sabercats to only 13 shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper, Monica Herrera (Capac, Mich./Capac) had eight saves on the day which helped lead the defensive play for the Rams.
North Central will be back in action on Tuesday September 6th at 12:30 p.m. for a home game versus NCCAA opponents Faith Baptist Bible. Live stats and video can be found at here.
