Box Score MANKATO, Minn. – North Central men's soccer defeated the Vikings of Bethany Lutheran on Saturday evening 2-0 in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) game. The Rams are now 6-1 on the season and 2-0 in UMAC play. With this win the Rams come off a three game week with three wins and sit in first place of UMAC standings.
Scoring for the Rams didn't come until the 35th minute when Noah Ramsby (Detroit, Mich./Parkway Christian) slotted home his first goal of the season from inside the 6-yard box. The Rams would finish the first half 1-0 but open up scoring in the second half in the 48th minute from Ian Brekhus (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake). That goal puts Brekhus at three goals on the season as a constant threat up top for the Rams. The opportunities wouldn't end there for the Rams as the men finished with 31 shots to the Vikings 9 shots. Brekhus lead the Rams with 10 shots. Jake Loukinen (Little Falls, Minn./Little Falls) also kept the Vikings on their toes with 5 shots and multiple crosses into the box for Rams scoring chances.
