MINNEAPOLIS – North Central's 2016 home opener finished 7-0 in favor of the Rams against Faith Baptist on Tuesday afternoon. The Rams offense got started early from a Dakotah Sparrman (Apple Valley, Minn/Shattuck-St. Mary's) goal in the fourth minute. Good combination play and strong defense kept the Rams in front for the rest of the game.
Sparrman finished the day with seven shots, four goals, and two assists. Sophomore, captain Linnea Madsen (Whitefish, Mont./Polson) also helped the Rams to victory with two goals within 10 minutes. Half way through the first half, Mandy Killian (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) tallied a goal for North Central to help seal the win. Abby Schwinden (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) also had ten shots and an assist on the day for the Rams.
