Box Score DULUTH, Minn. – North Central men's basketball (5-10, 3-7 UMAC) dropped the final game of their road trip north of the cities to St. Scholastica (10-8, 7-3 UMAC), 77-67, on Saturday night. CJ Lewis (Minneapolis, Minn./Bloomington Kennedy) had 18 points and five rebounds in the loss. Jared High (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo) added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Rams. The Rams shot 40.0 percent from the floor and had 32 points in the paint. The Rams largest lead of the night, two points, came in the first half whereas the largest deficit, 12 points, came in the 6:27 mark of the second half when the Saints began to pull away.
How It Happened
First Half: High had eight of his 16 points and shot 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Riley Loukinen (Little Falls, Minn./Little Falls) came off the bench and scored all five of his points. North Central outrebounded Scholastica 20-18 but trailed by three at the half, 36-33.
Second Half: Lewis shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line to give him 11 points in the half. Levi Herrick added four points and two blocks for the Rams. North Central was outshot 50 to 44 percent from the floor.
North Central men's basketball will be back home this Tuesday Jan. 24 for a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) contest against Faith Baptist. Tip-off for is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Minneapolis. The Rams will travel to the University of Northwestern-St. Paul on Saturday Jan. 28 with tip-off set for 5 p.m.
