ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - North Central Men's Soccer (4-5-3, 1-4-3 UMAC) fell to Crown College Storm (2-10-2, 1-6-2 UMAC) on a scoreline of 4-2 in a Upper Midwest Athletic Conference game at Klein Bank Stadium held at Crown College. The Rams outshot the Storm 30-10 and had the advantage on corner kicks, 7-4, but ultimately couldn't hold off the Storm's late offenseive push.
North Central got on the board first from Josue Boutouli (Lome, Togo/Eagan) in the 30th minute. At the half the Rams had the 1-0 lead but the final 30 minutes of play saw five goals and four red cards. Crown scored two goals within four minutes after equalizing the Rams lead in the 63rd minute. North Central midfielder, Danny Williams (Coon Rapids, Minn./Spring Lake Park) tallied two yellows in less than a minute to see his first red card and to send the Rams down a player. Crown's Harvey Holcombe earned a red card as well. Kaleb Smith (Kijabe, Kenya/Rift Valley Academy) tied the game up in the 76th minute giving the Rams a spark of life in hopes of a comeback. Crown's, Christian Olarte earned his second yellow for his red card at the time of Smith's goal giving the Rams the man up advantage with 15 minutes left in the game. However, two goals from Mason Shrewsbury gave Crown the lead and eventual win. Dennis Morales (Eagan, Minn./Eagan) earned a straight red in the final minute of play - his second red card of the season.
