ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - North Central University Women's Soccer (6-7, 2-6 UMAC) defeated Crown College (0-14, 0-9 UMAC) in a Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) matchup, 5-2, at Klein Bank Stadium. North Central dominated the game from the opening whistle and for 90 minutes keep the Storm on their heels. The Rams had the advantage offensively outshooting the Storm 37-4. Crown secured seven corners to the Rams six. With the win the Rams have swept Crown 2-0 on the season - the first time since 2011.

The first half ended scoreless for both teams. The final 45 minutes of play saw seven goals scored with the Rams getting on the board first from Emma Brekhus (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake) on a ball slotted in from Cheyenne Brown (Pinetop, Ariz./Blue Ridge). Crown would equalize less than 30 seconds later at 1-1 in the 50th minute. Dakotah Sparrman (Apple Valley, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's) pulled the Rams ahead again in the 56th minute on an assist from Anna Hartwig (Eagle River, Wis./Northland Pines). However, a defensive breakdown saw the Storm tie it up at 2-2 ten minutes later in the 65th minute. Three minutes later Cheyenne Brown took the ball down the right hand side into the corner, cut back towards goal, and hit a beautiful ball that just chipped over the Storm keeper for a 3-2 lead. Sparrman added to the Rams lead in the 74th minute giving the Rams a two goal lead. The final Rams goal came from Abby Schwinden in the final ten minutes of play to secure the Rams win.
