Rams Drop Non-Conference Match

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn - NCU volleyball hosted St.Olaf College in a non-conference match on Wednesday night in Clark Danielson Gymnasium. St. Olaf took all three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-10.

IN THE BOX SCORE

NCU had five players record kills in the match, led by senior Katie Strand with five kills to go along with two blocks. Emma Middendorf and Bethany Wollman each added four kills apiece. Maddie Stocker held things down in the back row as she recorded 18 digs on the night. Elizabeth Norman added eight kills to support Stocker. Summer Reid led the way for St. Olaf as she recorded 16 kills on the evening along with eight digs.

KEY MOMENTS

The first set proved to be the tightest as an attacking error from St. Olaf tied the set up at 22-22. A service error and a kill from Summer Reid gave St. Olaf the 24-22 lead before a timeout was called by North Central. Following the timeout a kill from Grace Hart pulled the Rams within one at 24-23. A block from Summer Reid sealed the set for St. Olaf as Summer Reid continued to provide a challenge for the Rams.

NEXT UP
The Rams will continue the non-conference swing with a road trip to Wisconsin this weekend. NCU will take on Mount Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday they will take on Marian and Edgewood in the Edgewood College Triangular in Madison, Wisconsin. Games will be at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The next home event for NCU will be the final match of the season, Friday October 27th at 7:00 p.m. in Clark Danielson Gymnasium.
