MINNEAPOLIS - North Central Women's Soccer (4-6, 1-5 UMAC) fell to Martin Luther College Knights (5-3-2, 4-0-1 UMAC) to a 4-1 scoreline on Tuesday afternoon in Elliot Park. In a game that saw the Rams dominate possession and dictate play a few crucial mistakes helped the Knights come away with the win.
Martin Luther got on the board first in the 7th minute on a ball slotted to the near post just out of Ellie Tieszen's (Stillwater, Minn.White Bear Lake) reach. However, right before half time Abby Schwinden (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) leveled the game with a ball right behind the Knights keeper. Second half mistakes would help the Knights to seal the victory and stay undefeated in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play. Shots were even at ten apiece for each team and Martin Luther held the advantage in corner kicks, 4-2.
