Box Score 2 SAINT PAUL, Minn - The North Central University volleyball team took on Crown College (2-11) and the University of Northwestern St. Paul (11-3) in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Triangular Tuesday night on the campus of Northwestern St. Paul. NCU fell to Crown College in three sets before falling to UNW in three sets to cap off the evening.
In the first match of the evening between Crown College and North Central University the Rams were paced by sophomore Emma Middendorf with ten kills and a .364 kill percentage. Maddie Stocker recorded 11 digs as the Rams fell by set scores of 25-15, 25-23, and 25-9.
Later in the evening the Rams took on three time defending UMAC Champions in Northwestern St. Paul. UNW came into the match ranked #12 in the latest AVCA national poll. Six players recorded kills for the Rams in the match, as Emma Middendorf led the way with four kills. Katie Strand recorded three kills and had a .375 kill percentage. Ultimately the Eagles of UNW prevailed taking the match by scores of 25-8, 25-7, and 25-14.
NCU will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Northland College for another UMAC triangular between Martin Luther College and Northland College. Action for the Rams will begin at 4:00 p.m. against Martin Luther College and 6:00 p.m. against Northland College.
