Box Score 2 MINNEAPOLIS, Minn - North Central University volleyball was in action on Wednesday night in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference triangular. The Rams fell to Minnesota-Morris 3-0 and to the College of St.Scholastica 3-0 in the nightcap.
In the match against Minnesota Morris (16-4) NCU pushed the action in the final two sets before dropping by scores of 25-20 and 25-19. Emma Middendorf led the way for the Rams with 8 kills. Sophomore Bethany Wollman added 4 kills, one service ace and 4 digs in a steady all around performance. Maddie Stocker led the way in the backrow with 21 digs and one service ace. Freshman Grace Haseltine chipped in 8 digs to support Stocker.
To finish the night the Rams took on the College of St.Scholastica (6-13) and dropped all three sets to a tough Saints squad by scores of 25-14, 25-10, and 25-12. Emma Middendorf once again led the Rams offensive attack as she recorded 6 of the team's 16 kills. Elizabeth Norman recorded 9 digs to go alongside Stocker's 7 digs to contribute to 40 total digs by the Rams in the match. Bethany Wollman again played well all around the court recording 2 kills, one ace and 8 digs.
The Rams will be back in action on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Clark Danielson Gymnasium on the campus of North Central University in downtown Minneapolis. The game will be a white out for all fans in attendance as the Rams welcome the #8 nationally ranked program in NCAA Divison III, the University of Northwestern St. Paul.
