MINNEAPOLIS - North Central Women's Soccer (2-1) hosted The University of Wisconsin-Superior (1-1) on Tuesday afternoon in a nonconference matchup in Elliot Park. The Rams and Yellowjackets battled it out in a close game to see the result end 1-0 in the Yellowjackets favor. Although the Rams outshot the Yellowjackets 11-10 the Rams couldn't find the back of the net to bring the game level. Dakotah Sparrman (Apple Valley, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's) led the Rams offense with four shots while Anna Hartwig (Eagle River, Wis./Northland Pines) led the Rams defensively with five saves in her 57 minutes in goal.

Superior jumped out ahead of the Rams early in the first half of play in the 10th minute on a corner kick that found the foot of Liza Shelquist, the Yellowjackets offensive leader with four shots and the lone goal on the afternoon. The Rams attempted to climb back in the second half with the first 25 minutes of the half resulting in the most opportunities on net the Rams had seen thus far in the game, outshooting the Yellowjackets 7-4 in the final 45 minutes of play.
