Milestone Night for Cline Not Enough As Rams Fall

Box Score

MANKATO, Minn - The North Central University Rams basketball team was in action Wednesday night as they took on Bethany Lutheran College in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play. The Rams fell 77-60 against the frontrunners in UMAC play this year as Bethany Lutheran sits atop the UMAC Men's basketball 2017-2018 standings.

NCU shot 30.8 percent from the field (20-for-65) while also shooting 36 percent from three point range as they went 9-for-25 from behind the arc. The Rams were led by Jared High as he had 18 points on the night as he went 6-for-18 from the field and 4-for-10 from three point range. C.J. Lewis added 15 points as he went 4-for-12 from the field while going 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.

Needing just seven points to surpass the 1,000 career points milestone mark, Joel Cline ended the game with 11 points on the night as he went 4-for-11 from the field and a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line. The monumental night for Cline makes him the 24th player in NCU men's basketball history to eclipse 1,000 career points in a Ram uniform.

The Rams will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to crosstown rival Northwestern St. Paul for a UMAC game slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
