Historic Night For High Not Enough To Top Knights

Box Score

NEW ULM, Minn - With a sharp cut to the basket and a quick layup for Jared High, he became the 25th player in North Central University men's basketball history to eclipse 1,000 points. High joins fellow captain Joel Cline on the list. The duo becomes the second pair of teammates to accomplish the feat in the same season as Jordan Harrell and Luke Chafin both surpassed 1,000 points in the same season in 2014-15.

The Rams shot 34 percent from the field on Wednesday night (18-for-53) as they were unable to keep pace with Martin Luther College in the 54-41 loss. Jared High led the way for the Rams with 17 points on the night. High shot 7-for-16 from the field while recording seven rebounds. A.J. McGrew added nine points in support of High, while senior Joel Cline narrowly missed a double-double with 10 rebounds and eight points for the game.

The loss is the third in a row for the Rams as they look to stop this streak on Friday in a non-conference trip to Trinity Bible College in North Dakota. NCU will tipoff against Trinity Bible at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night.
