Morris, MN -- Saturday, the North Central University Men's and Women's Track and Field teams took on the final day of the 2025 UMAC Outdoor Championships held at the University of Minnesota Morris. The men finished in 4th place and the women finished in 5th place overall. Helping the women's team move up a place in the team rankings were Catelyn Ketterling, Joyce Horton, and Brycelyn Brewster, all UMAC Champions in their respective events. On the men's side, Josh Hinson set a new meet record in the 400m to make the podium in second place. This is the highest both teams have placed at the UMAC Outdoor Championships since joining the conference and the most individual champions in program history.

Sprints:
Freshman Catelyn Ketterling captured the 100m title with a time of 12.78 seconds. In the 100m hurdles, freshman Joyce Horton also took first with a personal-best and program record time of 15.63 seconds. Junior Brycelyn Brewster dominated the 400m dash, crossing the line first in 58.84 seconds (PR) to crush her program record by 1.38 seconds.
Freshman Josh Hinson placed 2nd in the 400m with a time of 50.28 seconds, setting an NCU record and a new UMAC meet record. Freshman Hunter Harris also scored in the 400m, placing 5th in 51.32 seconds. Sophomore Connor Yslas ran a personal best of 57.75.
Distance:
Junior Jessica Redman posted a season-best in the 1500m, running 5:27.22 to finish 13th. Sophomore Avah Kraushaar placed 16th with a time of 5:37.57.
Freshman Colton Hagen finished 21st in the 1500m at 4:51.74. In the 5000m, junior Garrett Converse (17:42.01) led a trio of Rams, followed by freshman Leighton Helander in a PR of 17:57.32, and sophomore David Bjorge (18:34.89).
Throws:
Junior Andre Muteba placed 15th in the discus with a PR throw of 28.38m, while freshman Colton Hagen followed in 17th at 25.11m. Junior captain Caleb Lundt threw 24.66m to place 19th. In the shot put, Hagen recorded a mark of 10.33m and Muteba threw 10.26m, placing 13th and 14th, respectively.
Jumps:
Freshman standout Joyce Horton claimed 1st in the triple jump with a mark of 10.77m and finished 8th in the high jump (1.37m).
Senior Isaac Weiers highlighted the high jump with a mark of 2.01m, setting a new meet record and taking 2nd place. Freshman Hunter Harris placed 3rd (1.91m, PR), senior Nehemiah Juaire was 5th (1.86m, PR), and Zak Ruhland came in 7th (1.76m).
Relays:
The women's 4x400m team of Joyce Horton, Ari Klein, Savi Rael, and Brycelyn Brewster placed 2nd in 4:11.31 with a season-best and program record-breaking performance.
The men's 4x100m relay team of Nehemiah Juaire, Hunter Harris, Zak Ruhland, and Jaquan Adams placed 2nd in 43.21 seconds to set a new NCU record (SB). The 4x400m relay squad of Josh Hinson, Jaquan Adams, Nehemiah Juaire, and Hunter Harris also took 2nd with a season-best and program record of 3:27.86.

North Central Track and Field has 17 athletes competing at the NCCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week on May 7-9th in Columbia, SC at Columbia International University.
