NORTHFIELD, MINNESOTA - The North Central University (NCU) men's and women's cross country teams competed at Carleton College's Running of the Cows meet, taking on one of their largest fields of the season. With each Ram racing among more than 300 competitors, Craig Henry broke the 40-minute barrier in the men's 8K for the first time, while Anna Deichert delivered a five-minute personal record in the women's 6K.

Men's Recap
The Rams were represented by Eli Foley, David Bjorge, and Craig Henry in the men's 8K. Foley and Bjorge each turned in strong performances for North Central as the duo continued working toward the sub-30-minute mark later this season. While neither recorded a personal best on the day, both put together solid races against the large field.
Henry provided the biggest highlight on the men's side, crossing the finish line in a personal-best 39:59. The performance marked the first time Henry has broken 40 minutes in an 8K and moved the freshman another step closer to his season goal of running under 38 minutes.

Women's Recap
On the women's side, Anna Deichert delivered a breakthrough performance in the 6K. Deichert finished in 30:57, cutting an impressive five minutes off her previous personal best. The result puts her within striking distance of the sub-30-minute benchmark as the Rams move into the latter portion of the season.
North Central continues to work toward strong end-of-season goals, with Deichert and Mary Fossell aiming to join Foley and Bjorge in reaching the sub-30-minute mark.

UP NEXT
With another meet in the books, North Central will look to build on its progress as the Rams continue toward the last regular season meet of the season in Spring, MN. That will be the Saint John's Invite.
