2026 Season Highlights

Competed in both the indoor and outdoor seasons... In the indoor season, he posted a personal best in the 60m dash, clocking 7.29 seconds at the M City Classic... At the UMAC Indoor Championship, he took home 2nd place in the high jump with a PR height of 1.90 meters (2nd in UMAC)... He also took 7th in the distance medley relay (12.23.18), 7th in the 4x400m relay (3:54.97), and 11th in the 200m dash (23.94 sec.)... In the outdoor season, Zak set a new program record in the javelin throw at the Rider/Bolstorff Invite with a 1st-place mark of 52.63m (PR, Led the UMAC)... At the same meet, he set a PR in the 100m dash with a time of 11.25 seconds to take 7th place... At the UMAC Championship Meet, he took home a 2nd-place podium finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.85 meters (2nd in UMAC)... He also took 4th place in the javelin throw with a mark of 46.70 meters and set a PR in the 200m with a time of 23.22 seconds... Qualified for the NCCAA Outdoor National Championships in the javelin and high jump... Placed 6th in the javelin with a throw of 52.17m... UMAC Indoor All-Conference in High Jump... UMAC Outdoor All-Conference in High Jump... 1x UMAC Field Athlete of the Week... 3x Ram of the Week Honoree... Team Captain... Named to Fall Rams Honor Roll.

2025 Season Highlights

Competed in both the indoor and outdoor seasons for the Rams... In the indoor season, he placed 8th in the high jump (1.80m, PR) and finished 12th in the high jump (1.80m, PR) at the Jack Johnson Classic... At the UMAC Indoor Championship, Zak ran on the 4x200m relay team that placed 4th overall and 7th in the high jump with a leap of 1.78m... In the outdoor season, Ruhland placed 5th in the javelin throw at the Hamline Invitational, totaling 42.36m... He also set personal bests in the 100m and 200m with times of 11.36 and 23.75 seconds, respectively... At the Outdoor UMAC Championship, Zak set a new UMAC meet record in the javelin throw, putting up 52.57m - which also broke the North Central program record... Zak also helped the 4x100m relay team finish 2nd with a time of 43.21, and 7th in the high jump, totaling 1.76m... Ruhland qualified for NCCAA Nationals in both the javelin throw and the 4x100m relay. He placed 10th overall with a javelin throw of 46.18m... Part of the 4x100m relay team that finished in 8th place with a time of 43.38 seconds... Earned Ram of the Week once.
