Coach Thorson will begin his first season as the Assistant Women's Golf Coach in the fall of 2020. Thorson graduated from North Central in 2012 as one of the most decorated golfers in NCU history. His accomplishments as a Ram include: three-time team UMAC Champion, 2010 First Team All-UMAC, first golfer to record an under-par round in school history, and the first athlete ever to compete at the NCAA National Championship in any sport from NCU.
Thorson brings six years of coaching experience to the table, including three years at the collegiate level. After serving as the NCU's men's golf assistant coach in 2013, Thorson took over the head coaching position for the 2014 and '15 seasons.
Ben and his wife, Julia, reside in Chaska, MN with their son Jett (3) and newborn daughter Josie.Â
